The white connector on the back has a black locking lever (it's difficult to see how this works). Pull the lever away from the direction of the cables, over the little block. Common items that prevent A/C clutch operation are the blower motor resistor block (big clue there if lowest speed does not work), low refrigerant pressure, and the A/C dash 98llBj.
